"The interplay between the public and private sector is what excites me most. I’m eager to show our clients how the political arena of the EU may benefit their interests, and how our expertise can support in this."
Niels van den Ouden (1993) joined Dr2 in September 2017. He obtained his Bachelors degree in International Relations at Leiden University. After his Bachelor, Niels pursued an internship at the Embassy of the Netherlands in Thailand, where he gained experience in strategic policy analysis and bilateral trade promotion. Furthermore, he developed a profound interest in bridging the gap between the public and private sector.
In Summer 2017, Niels obtained his Masters degree in International Public Management at Erasmus University, with a strong emphasis on European Affairs. His thesis focused on the informal influence of the European Commission in external energy policies. At the Dr2 office in Brussels, Niels will support various clients and work on several sectors, including mobility, maritime transportation and the circular economy.
