"What gives me satisfaction is working in the rather complex environment of the European Union where public and private actors come together on a daily basis to engage with contemporary policy issues that transcend national and disciplinary borders."
Danique de Jonge (1995) joined Dr2 as a Public Affairs trainee in April 2018. She obtained her Bachelors degree in International Studies at Leiden University. During the six-month discretionary space that the bachelor’s degree allows for, she studied at American University in Washington D.C. After her Bachelors, Danique pursued two internships: one at a non-governmental organization in The Hague and the other at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. These experiences have allowed her to strengthen her analytical, organizational and communication skills.
Danique is currently enrolled in the Masters European Public Affairs at Maastricht University. This MA program provided her with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to successfully operate in the complex landscape of the EU. During her studies, she particularly focused on understanding contemporary EU public issues and know how and where to effectively address them. At the Dr2 office in Brussels, Danique will support various clients and work on several sectors, including mobility and transport, sustainable energy, digitalization, and the circular economy.
