Lennert is passionate for the dynamic processes of policy making in the European Union and the international cooperation it stimulates. Before Dr2 Consultants, he worked as an assistant in the Belgian Chamber of Representatives.
He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Sciences and Sociology at the KU Leuven during which he spent a semester on exchange in Galway, Ireland. Lennert subsequently earned a Master's Degree in Comparative and International Politics in Leuven, which he extended with an extra semester at the University of Iceland to focus on small state diplomacy in the EU. Having gotten the germ for European policies, he decided to end his academic career with an Advanced Master in European Politics and Policies, also at KU Leuven. Lennert partook in several extracurricular activities including Model United Nations and a summer school at the Sichuan University.
Lennert speaks Dutch and English fluently. He has a basic knowledge of French.
