Maria Pulina
“The EU policymaking system is fascinating and complex at the same time. My aim is to create a bridge between stakeholders and institutional actors, so as to make the EU closer and easier to understand.”
Maria joined the Dr2 Consultants' team as a Consultant in EU Public Affairs and Sustainability. Before working for Dr2 Consultants, Maria was a Project Manager for the Brussels-based consultancy PA Europe, with responsibilities and skills developed in the fields of sustainability, food safety, food security, and health. Within her former role, Maria assisted the senior and managing team in developing strategies for the clients. In particular, she managed the day-to-day needs and assisted an industrial platform of microbial plant protection products producers.
Maria earned her Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations and Diplomatic Affairs at the University of Bologna (Italy), after which she got her Master’s Degree in International Relations, Diplomacy, and Conflict Resolution at UCLouvain (Belgium). Her interests range from geopolitics, international affairs, EU affairs, and US politics to sustainability, digitech, and agriculture. During her studies, she was also an intern in the office of an Italian Member of the European Parliament (MEP) and an intern/researcher for the Centre d’etude des crises et des conflits internationaux-CECRI in Louvain-la-Neuve, for which she published two articles.
Born Italian, she speaks English fluently and has a strong knowledge of French. In 2023 she will take Dutch language courses.
