Martijn started his academic career with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations and International Organization at the University of Groningen. He went on to obtain Master’s degrees in both International Relations and Middle Eastern Studies at the same university, writing his master theses on international cooperation and social movements. Martijn previously interned at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he conducted a study on development cooperation through international governmental organizations.
Martijn is fluent in Dutch and English and has limited proficiency in French and Spanish.
