Nicolas D´hanis

“Providing support and information to clients and their enterprises in order to optimize their beneficial outcomes in the European Union is one of the main goals I am more than eager to assist with.’’

Nicolas has obtained a Bachelor's Degree in European Business Management and Marketing at UCLL. The program includes a yearly rotation system between different universities across Europe. The first year he was stationed at UAB, Barcelona Spain followed by UCLL, Belgium and Coventry University, UK. This European education experience may be seen as an advanced European integration initiative to combine academic learning with cultural learning with a focus on European integration processes. Here, Nicolas developed a great interest in how EU operates internally as well as how it is positioning itself globally. Furthermore, he obtained a Master's Degree in International Relations and Diplomacy at the University of Antwerp where a more geopolitical perspective has been touched upon.

After his studies, Nicolas completed an internship at the Consulate General of Belgium and an internship at the Belgian Chamber of Commerce both in Cape Town, South Africa. Here he provided assistance in economic & consular diplomacy and coordinated social & business events respectively.

At Dr2 Consultants, Nicolas assist EU Public Affairs consultants across the digital & tech, sustainability and transport & energy sectors.

Nicolas was born and raised in Antwerp and speaks Dutch, English and has a basic knowledge of French.
